An experiment in life balance: Let's talk about Tofu.

I have two package of Trader Joe's firm tofu in my refrigerator.

Can I freeze it? Anyone have any great tofu recipes?

Another food blog?

Perhaps. The difference is that I choose recipes that can be easily made ahead and stored in the fridge or freezer. I plan, shop for and prepare an entire week's menu at once. I'm also trying to save some money and time so I shop once a week and I use lots of coupons and sale items. I live in Western NY so I shop at the ubiquitous grocery store, Tops. The sales and coupon matchups I will post about are almost always at Tops.

In addition, I include a little instruction on good places to buy certain things, links to cooking techniques, tools, etc.

Any time I use a term or a product that is out of the ordinary for the first time (i.e. TVP or Penzey's), I link to a site with either an explanation or a place to purchase. So if you don't know what something is, use the "Search this blog" bar at the top of the page.

Finally, with a very busy career, a toddler and a two houses, I'm constantly searching for new ways to organize and make managing our life easier. Life balance is my goal. Usually, I fail miserably. But I will always strive for it!
